Hello dear Viewer,
I'm happy to present you my first likeness project. This is a personal project i started a while ago and worked on it in my free time between freelancing for clients.
I like Tom as an actor and, of course, i loved spiderman for my entire childhood with the fantastic Tobey so i decided to try my very first CG likeness portrait.
For the sclupting part, i used ZBrush and started from my base mesh created from other projects. I used the geometry HD workflow for skin details. Textures are entirely hand-maded into Substance Painter. Hairs are made with xGen, it was challenging because it was also my first try on it, but thanks to the amazing J Hill's tutorials i learned very much!
About the render, i first tried a real-time rendering with Marmoset 4 but i wasn't happy about the result so, also for the first time, i used Arnold renderer.
I wanna make a really big shoutout to @JHill for his amazing youtube tutorials, from texture skin to Realistic Arnold render.
I learned a lot from this personal project and i've already started a new one on another actor so stay tuned!
I know this one could be better but i needed to move on and work on new projects. Next level up will be implementing Texturing XYZ workflow to my models!
Thanks to everyone viewing and to those who have read this far.
I hope you like my attempt on Tom Holland and see you very soon with my next project :D !
